We’re here to help you more than manage.

Our Founder

How We Manage

Managing is more than just getting by; the literal translation of the word is "to handle or direct with a degree of skill".

We've developed the ability to support and grow these skills from our years working with founders and executives around the world in growing, innovative companies and are excited to share our learnings with you.

Our Founder, Catie Maillard, has experienced many of the challenges scaling tech companies face - from hiring at scale to avoiding over-hiring to managing dysfunctional teams - and draws from this experience to help companies diagnose and attack their people challenges.

Just like people, companies are a unique combination of background, purpose, and personality, and we'll work with you on a tailored solution that can grow with you.

Catie Maillard, Founder & Chief Consultant

Catie has over 15 years of progressive People & Business Operations experience at scaling global tech companies, but more importantly Catie brings with her a noticeable Long Island accent and perpetual resting smiling face.

After starting her career helping Fortune 100 companies build and bolster their work/life policies and programs through her role the Boston College Center for Work & Family, Catie has dedicated herself to a strengths-based, whole-person approach to People Operations & Development. After leaving academia, Catie immediately joined a small adtech startup as their second HR person, and has spent her career figuring sh*t out as she built and grew teams within ad tech, real estate tech, media, cannabis, creator economy, and web3 startups - joining as employee 9 or 9,000 depending on the company stage.

Catie's secret sauce is as a force multiplier - as an executive and managerial coach and facilitator, she helps you accomplish more together than you often can alone - and her goal is for you to leave a conversation feeling lighter than when you'd joined. She’s been featured in multiple webinars and podcasts, most recently as a guest on NPR’s Planet Money.

She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her tv and film editor husband and their Tasmanian devil of a toddler.
